Ways we can reduce stress

By Jeff Cline

We encounter stress everyday in our daily lives. We deal with it at work, on the roads and even at home. We must learn ways to deal with it ina positive manner. If we don't our mind, body and soul will suffer from the stress. So we will be cover some ways we can reduce the stress in our lives.

The first thing we need to do is recognize that stress is unavoidable. We are not doomed, everyone has to deal with it at one time to another. We need to identify how we react. Channel some of the negative energy into positive activity and just learn to relax.

We should also avoid the ol water cooler doom and gloom talk. It is verbal poison. In no way can we benefit from this negative reaction to stress. You can always find people to pity you or that can tell there own doom stories all day, that does not make it a good thing to do.

All of this talk leads to what I like to call "mind clog". It clogs us with all of these dead emotional mind manipulation that makes no sense. We dwell, worry and get angry. All really destructive reactions to stress. We need to stop this kind of verbal poisoning.

Everyone you know has dealt with stress. If you have a hard time dealing look at your friends and family that have dealt in a good way. Use their techniques and try them for yourselves. Sometimes we learn the best things from others. Sometimes they have dealt with more stress then we every have.

If you start to feel anxious and panicky you can use the popular breathing techniques we have all heard about. Simply take some deep long breathes, exhaling and inhaling. Do this until you start to feel calm and more relaxed. It is very calming.

We all have some things that trigger stress for us, maybe road rage or screaming kids. Identify your triggers and tune into ways to deflect them. Again, we can not avoid them, we must learn ways to deal. Ways that are positive by the way, we can not rear end them just to feel better.

Last but not least, take care of yourself. Be sure to get plenty of sleep and rest. Eat healthy foods and get some exercise. Enjoy lives little pleasures, so often we ignore them. Stop to smell the roses. Be good to your body and yourself and your body will thank you for it!

Coach Purses for Fashionable Women

By Joleen Davenport

A purse can either make or break a woman's outfit. Thus, if you are fond of purses and always try to be fashionable, be sure to get yourself the right purses to be sure you'll never go wrong.

Purses in bright colored patterns and bold are good choices. They can often lift your spirits. However, they are not a perfect match for formal dresses or semi-formal dresses. Thus, before opting for them, be sure you can find a perfect match for them in your closet.

On the other hand, purses that shines with silky fabric are good choices too. They can make you shine and look gorgeous. However, they are oftentimes not a perfect match for casual dresses. Hence, you can't use them very much often.

Nowadays, there are a lot of brands associated with purses but the very first brand worth mentioning is the Coach. For years, Coach has been one of the most popular producers of purses and other similar accessories. If you want to get right purses which you'll never go wrong, you must be very familiar of this great producer.

Every product of Coach shows perfect balance between function and fashion design. And the general shapes, pockets, and straps of every product are also cautiously deemed for users to experience comfort. Materials used are carefully selected and seams are also double-stitched for durability purposes.

Generally speaking, Coach has been mixing up workmanship, fashion, function, and style in their every product.

Well, indeed, Coach purses can be great options most especially to women who always try to be fashionable. However, many critics believe that all Coach products, which of course include purses, are expensive and so just for rich people or the elite. In truth, most Coach products are really expensive. But this of course has a good reason. Coach products are all carefully designed and are from good materials. Although they are expensive, you won't actually regret spending even a single penny for them.

Nonetheless, if you can't afford buying new Coach products, try to look for some slightly used ones online. Try to search at eBay or Amazon, they are great places to shop for slightly used items. But just be careful when making deals.

Eyecare - Are floaters a serious condition?

By Manvir Singh

There are many reasons as to why floaters occur. For example if you are looking up against a white wall for a prolonged period this can effect your eyes and you could possibly see floaters. This condition is not uncommon and is found to be affecting many people across the globe.

Floaters generally appear as small grey spots in your vision, occurring in both eyes at the same time or sometimes in one eye alone. Along with the more typical appearance of spots, they can also be perceived as thin wavy lines or thread like floaters.

The vitreous is where the floaters usually take place. This is the part of the eye which has a jelly like centre, and it occurs as each person gets older.

This component of the eye plays an important role in floaters. If the vitreous becomed a liquid, there are clumps which can evolve. Once this happens it is open to debris within the eye. This then prevents small amounts of light within the eye and creates shadows within the retina, which then results in a floater.

Floaters can also result from deposits which build up in the eye such as cholesterol, calcium etc, if this is the case your optician will make you aware of this and advise you to see your GP.

Floaters may increase slowly with age and are completely normal. However if you notice a large number of floaters " an appearance similar to a swarm of flies, a very big floater, a vale or curtain in your vision, then you should go immediately go to the Hospital or eye casualty.

People who are short-sighted, or have a family history of retinal detachment should monitor floaters more closely and visit their optician on a regular recall visit as advised on the time of the sight test.

Also an associated symptom with floaters is flashing lights, this can indicate a further complication, again if you notice and flashing lights or floaters call into your opticians, who will make a detailed assessment and issue appropriate advice and referral if needed or go straight to the casualty department at the hospital.

Floaters cannot be removed by surgery or medications, they are there to stay, your brain may ignore these if they are longstanding and your awareness of the floaters may be reduced. However more is dependent on the environment that you spend your time in, this will determine how much or how often you notice your floaters.

Inspirational thoughts on Teamwork

By Bart Icles

Working as team can be a hard goal to strive for because it feels like such an uphill battle. Trying to coordinate multiple people's schedules, values, lifestyles, and goals can seem not worth the effort and so time consuming that it is just a bigger headache then a help. Don't give in because it is hard, once teamwork in the workplace in achieved you will watch not only business sore but also the individuals that work for the organization will become empowered. Here are some inspirational thoughts for me and others on the importance of teamwork.

-It is amazing how much you can accomplish when it doesn't matter who gets the credit. - Unknown -Coming together, sharing together, working together, succeeding together. -Unknown -Teamwork divides the task and doubles the success. -Unknown -Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.- Henry Ford -Thomas Edison, when asked why he had a team of twenty-one assistants If I could solve all the problems myself, I would. -Teams are successful when they are focused, have a short cycle time, and are supported by the executives. - Tom Bouchard

Effective teamwork will not take the place of knowing how to do the job or how to manage the work. Poor teamwork, however, can prevent effective final performance. And it can also prevent team members from gaining satisfaction in being a member of a team and the organization. - Robert F. Bales

As we learn and grow with each other we will find new strengths in our team and be able to capitalize on those, we will also find a new sense of purpose. Competing against your business's competition is the ultimate goal but if an organization doesn't truly practice teamwork the goal will always be to beat each other in workplace no matter what the cost. Often that cost is hindered progress in the business.

Imagine if you and another guy were up for a promotion would you be willing to the share the resources you have and know about so that he can more quickly succeed? I don't think so, but if your team was working to earn a reward then of course you would be more then willing to help him as much as you could making his job more efficient.

Teamwork is worth the time to build, maintain and strengthen. Your business will be effected by its strength, just how soon is up to you.

How I Dealt With Strength and Weakness Questions in my Interview

By Michael Farquar

When you attend your interview, you can find yourself in a situation where there are questions flying at you - left, right and centre. It can appear unbelievably bewildering. Try to stay focussed as your next few responses may be life changing. I once had an amazing interview that led to one of my most enjoyable jobs...

A few years ago, I applied for a teacher's assistant post at our local junior school. After the preliminary greetings, I found myself sat across from the headmistress. She wanted me to answer the "What's your greatest weakness?" question. I don't know if it was the whole - sitting in front of the head teacher thing - but I just blurted out the truth. I told her that when I first meet a new person, I am usually painfully shy and quiet. The challenge is that people can think that I am a little aloof and remote. To my huge relief - she just laughed and confided in me that she had the same issues when she was at my stage of career.

Don't be afraid by your weaknesses, but don't make them up, or use one that you might have heard before. The most played out and abused "weakness" would have to be the saying, "I am too much of a people-pleaser!" You will unquestionably have to wipe the brown off your nose after that one! In addition, it probably just made you seem false and unconvincing to the interviewer.

What clinched my interview for the teaching place was a lot more unexpected than I thought. I was asked an excruciatingly easy question that almost made me marvel, "What is this lady getting at?" The director gazed at me earnestly, cocked her head to one side, and inquired, "If I needed to send you into a room by yourself for a few minutes, and you weren't used to the schoolroom or the children, what would your initial response be?" I chuckled and answered, "Probably try to placate them and keep them occupied by playing the Hokey Pokey, or another sort of game."

Amazingly, I was informed later on - after I had been employed as a teacher there for a few months - that the reply I had given to that question was what had landed me the post. Evidently, my strength was the crazy, unabashed manner I could embarrass myself in front of a bunch of kids! Who knew?

As ever, it is always sensible to ask those close to you to help you to formulate your answers to these questions. They know you well and care about you. It will be embarassing as they will start to rib you about some of your responses - but just keep persevering as it is better to be made fun of by those who are on your side than find yourself underprepared by the interview panel!

Tips to Write a Song

By L. Simms

If you are an aspiring songwriter, there are some simple tools and tips that you can use to improve your songwriting skills. There are many reasons for writing songs, and the kind of song that you ultimately write will depend largely on your goals and motivations. First, let's examine the reasons for writing songs.

Many songwriters use their life experiences to vent their feelings and thoughts. It's a great way to get inspired without working at it because inspiration is so natural and real. But it's true that many songwriters think of what people would like to hear so they can have a popular hit song instead.

Most songs that are popular with a particular audience have met unique requirements in order to be in demand. Commercially written songs are usually composed on a successful formula based on what an audience wants. Most singers have their own special type of voice and style that is acceptable for a particular musical style.

You can compose your own distinctive type of music that you like and that you think people will enjoy. Most good composers write music that is exclusively theirs and not a reflection of the latest fad or most popular song getting airtime. An original and imaginative way is to write music that is truly intuitive and expressive because many people can identify with music that is uniquely special.

First of all, write for your target audience. Whether you have a target audience of one, or a wider target audience, use what you know to write music that appeals to your target listeners. It means you should find your niche and write about things you know as you will make a better connection with a target audience that shares things in common with you.

If you write music filled with tender words and melodies, you will have a better chance of communicating with your audience of listeners. Write music that you can relate to emotionally and express or convey your thoughts and ideas in words that communicate to your listeners. Your creative ideas can be inspired by your life experiences or come from your friends' ideas and thoughts.

Inspiration can come from a variety of unexpected sources. The best way to be prepared when your song muse emerges is to carry with you a notepad to jot down ideas and inspirations as they come to you in everyday life. Songwriting inspiration may come from an unusual sound or rhythm you hear, from things you observe in nature, or from something as simple as a coffee shop conversation.

Locate a fine singer whose work you know and like so you can hear your song performed. By doing this you can hear you song through a singer who adds his or her style to it which may give you a pleasant surprise. After listening to it, you can make some additional changes or leave it as it stands.
