We encounter stress everyday in our daily lives. We deal with it at work, on the roads and even at home. We must learn ways to deal with it ina positive manner. If we don't our mind, body and soul will suffer from the stress. So we will be cover some ways we can reduce the stress in our lives.
The first thing we need to do is recognize that stress is unavoidable. We are not doomed, everyone has to deal with it at one time to another. We need to identify how we react. Channel some of the negative energy into positive activity and just learn to relax.
We should also avoid the ol water cooler doom and gloom talk. It is verbal poison. In no way can we benefit from this negative reaction to stress. You can always find people to pity you or that can tell there own doom stories all day, that does not make it a good thing to do.
All of this talk leads to what I like to call "mind clog". It clogs us with all of these dead emotional mind manipulation that makes no sense. We dwell, worry and get angry. All really destructive reactions to stress. We need to stop this kind of verbal poisoning.
Everyone you know has dealt with stress. If you have a hard time dealing look at your friends and family that have dealt in a good way. Use their techniques and try them for yourselves. Sometimes we learn the best things from others. Sometimes they have dealt with more stress then we every have.
If you start to feel anxious and panicky you can use the popular breathing techniques we have all heard about. Simply take some deep long breathes, exhaling and inhaling. Do this until you start to feel calm and more relaxed. It is very calming.
We all have some things that trigger stress for us, maybe road rage or screaming kids. Identify your triggers and tune into ways to deflect them. Again, we can not avoid them, we must learn ways to deal. Ways that are positive by the way, we can not rear end them just to feel better.
Last but not least, take care of yourself. Be sure to get plenty of sleep and rest. Eat healthy foods and get some exercise. Enjoy lives little pleasures, so often we ignore them. Stop to smell the roses. Be good to your body and yourself and your body will thank you for it!
